About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct, coach, mentor, and develop Account Executives
- Direct sales efforts for new business opportunities and cultivate new and expanded opportunities with existing regional customers
- Develop and implement an annual sales business plan and achieve Air Methods KPIs
- Conduct succession planning, including cross-training Regional Business Development Directors
- Ensure marketing programs meet Air Methods standards and branding objectives and align with community partners
- Assist with annual capital and operational budgets for the area sales/marketing program
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events and special programs
- Work with the SVP Sales and Regional Vice President and provide timely updates on business, demographic, and competitive market changes
- Evaluate compliance with performance indicators and identify variances
- Coordinate with Regional Directors to meet sales, business development, and partnership objectives
- Ensure business activities comply with Air Methods standards
- Serve as principal contact in contractual negotiations affecting regional operations
- Maintain key customer relationships and partnerships
- Evaluate risks and benefits of contractual arrangements and modify existing and new contracts
- Act as a regional Air Methods ambassador with customers, influencers, and government officials
- Supervise Account Executives, including hiring, training, work assignment, performance appraisal, discipline, complaint resolution, and problem-solving
- Maintain regular scheduled attendance and travel as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and ten years related experience and/or training within aviation or medical and medical transportation services; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) years sales and/or business development experience
- Experience in medical transportation services or health care business development/sales preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage remote sales team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions consistent with essential job functions
- Ability to prepare written reports, correspondence, and presentations to senior leadership
- Proven leadership and professional demeanor; excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
- Proven leadership in a sales environment
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MapPoint, and Outlook
- Regular scheduled attendance
- Willingness/ability to travel (percentage not specified)
