About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain pilot records
  • Verify compliance with current Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Develop pilot recordkeeping policies in accordance with federal guidelines
  • Enter data for check rides, training, and new-hire pilots
  • Maintain and modify the pilot database to meet training needs
  • Track and notify pilots regarding medical certificates in a timely manner
  • Create new-hire pilot files and verify paperwork accuracy, taking corrective action when needed
  • Create database reports for Regional Aviation Manager (RAD), Regional Aviation Manager (RAM), and Area Manager
  • Perform monthly audits of 25% of pilot records and purge outdated records
  • Maintain Daily Flight Log/Load Manifest sheets and return those with errors to the appropriate base for correction
  • Track and file pilots’ monthly duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • No supervisory responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED and one (1) to three (3) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Aviation experience preferred
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as fax/copier/scanner
  • Highly proficient proofreading, spelling, grammatical and phone skills
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented; ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet daily, monthly, and quarterly deadlines
  • Ability to discreetly handle confidential information
  • Ability to work as a team player with a professional attitude when dealing with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook
  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
  • Must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies
