About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support daily Logistics Center operations, including picking, shipping, receiving, storing, and testing inventory and special tools
- Support field aircraft operations by processing parts, supplies, and special tools for field bases
- Process Ramco-generated Material Movement Documents for aircraft parts, goods, and supplies
- Coordinate high-priority counter-to-counter shipments with carriers and select cost-effective shipment modes
- Follow established processes and Standard Work for carrier selection
- Request and adhere to departmental office and shipping-supply budgets and freight-expense guidelines
- Maintain compliance with FAA, SOX, and DOD regulations and keep the Logistics Center neat, organized, and safe
- Conduct scheduled inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate labeling, bin assignments, and inventory movements in Ramco
- Perform physical inventory at the home facility and support surrounding bases
- Receive aircraft parts, goods, and supplies from approved vendors in Ramco
- Perform kitting operations and distribute parts to inventory locations
- Prepare raw materials for machine and fabrication shops
- Enter purchase-order and work-order receipts into inventory
- Move inventory through manufacturing and inspection areas
- Enter material issues and returns in MRP software
- Handle and observe controls for government-owned property
- Perform inventory reconciliation and problem-solving in Ramco
- Perform inventory counts and bay maintenance; identify root causes and implement countermeasures
- Partner with Purchasing and Procurement stakeholders
- Work with limited supervision as a self-starter
- Follow Air Methods’ Safety Management System and participate in the 6S lean initiative
- Perform other duties as assigned
- No supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two (2) years aviation and/or parts/logistics operations experience
- Ability to operate a Fork Lift and pass a certification of operation test after initial OSHA training
- Problem solving skills and ability to identify root cause and implement sustainable countermeasures
- Ability to apply basic mathematical principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented; ability to prioritize and make conscious business decisions
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude
- Data entry skills
- Ability to manipulate/analyze data trends
- Ability to recommend appropriate min/max adjustments based on item velocity
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Regular scheduled attendance
- Ability to work an unconventional schedule and support AOG business needs
- 25% travel expectation for Hub locations; driving to sites within a 6-hour radius of the base location for Hub locations
