About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and instruct training programs for Repair Station personnel, Field Maintenance Representatives, and field-based mechanics
- Develop and maintain training records in accordance with company requirements
- Identify and assess organizational training needs
- Confer with managers and supervisors and conduct surveys to evaluate training effectiveness
- Maintain working knowledge of the Air Methods Training Manual and keep it current with organizational, CFR, and Quality Control Manual requirements
- Maintain departmental relationships to develop new systems and identify cost-saving measures
- Support Repair Station Personnel, Field Maintenance Supervisors, and Regional Maintenance Directors on training issues and schedules
- Act as a technical resource for repair station and base locations
- Assist with interpreting regulations related to Training Requirements under Title 14 CFR §145.163
- Work within the training department budget
- Schedule and coordinate external training for technicians assigned to repair station and field locations
- Coordinate all training-related activities
- Perform other duties assigned by the Manager of Maintenance Training
- Maintain regular attendance

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university and two (2) to five (5) years’ related experience and/or training in aviation; or equivalent combination of education and experience skills
- Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the company, external customers, and regulatory agencies
- Ability to analyze information, evaluate results, choose the best solution, and solve problems
- Ability to use a forklift, rolling ladder, and aircraft tooling
- Ability to open and close crates
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Manual Systems
- Airframe and Power Plant License
- FCC Avionics License preferred
- IA preferred
- Subject to DOT/FAA drug and/or alcohol testing requirements
- Regular scheduled attendance
