About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead enterprise portfolio planning and ensure strategic alignment, prioritization transparency, and annual planning rigor
  • Develop and operate a standardized Enterprise Scheduling methodology
  • Build and oversee the enterprise scheduling function, including integrated master schedules, cross-functional resource planning, forecasting, and scenario-based planning
  • Provide executives with data-driven insights into portfolio health, operational impacts, financial status, risks, capacity, and performance
  • Facilitate enterprise decision-making by clarifying project and scheduling dependencies, constraints, and resource alignment challenges
  • Lead operational and process improvement initiatives
  • Partner with business leaders to align projects and schedules with realistic assumptions, operational readiness, and organizational priorities
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans
  • Ensure consistent documentation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-organizational coordination
  • Manage departmental finances, budgets, project-related expenditures, and cost-to-value transparency
  • Communicate complex information concisely to senior stakeholders and executives
  • Supervise department employees, including hiring, training, work assignment, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, and problem resolution
  • Develop functional or divisional strategy into actionable plans
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate complex departmental and intradepartmental projects or programs
  • Establish and recommend modifications to functional policies
  • Maintain regular scheduled attendance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and fifteen or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years in project management
  • At least 6 years’ experience directly managing Project Managers
  • Experience developing Enterprise Scheduling, including defining project delivery metrics, implementing processes, and adhering to best practices
  • Strong experience leading transformational initiatives and driving cultural change
  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Business (MBA) preferred
  • Regular scheduled attendance
