About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise Quality Assurance activities for the Part 145 Repair Station to ensure compliance with FAA regulations
  • Plan and direct development and maintenance of quality standards for repair station processes, materials, and products
  • Oversee and train 145 department personnel, including work assignments, scheduling, and input on performance reviews and hiring decisions
  • Coordinate with Shop Supervisors on maintenance issues and project scheduling
  • Perform and oversee return-to-service approvals, including FAA Form 337s and logbook entries for airframes, engines, propellers, and appliances
  • Apply for Airworthiness Certificates, Ferry Permits, and Field Approvals
  • Ensure aircraft and components conform to type design, approved alterations, applicable STCs, and flight-safety requirements
  • Conduct and oversee progressive and final inspections for aircraft and component airworthiness/serviceability
  • Interpret technical information and advise personnel on regulatory compliance
  • Liaise with the FAA, regulatory agencies, and manufacturers for requirements clarification and technical assistance
  • Research aircraft and engine maintenance logs for regulatory and company-policy compliance
  • Process and oversee work orders through all project phases
  • Perform and oversee parts-room incoming and receiving inspections
  • Provide technical assistance in developing and maintaining AAIP revisions
  • Guide Quality Assurance Inspectors and assist department personnel with technical and administrative decisions
  • Ensure compliance with Repair Station Certification requirements
  • Assist with repair station manual additions and revisions
  • Review engineering data processes and procedures
  • Oversee inspections of articles and installations for conformity to approved data
  • Assist with personnel issues and performance evaluations
  • Plan and work within an approved departmental budget
  • Perform other analysis and assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED; and five or more years’ technical rotor wing related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a FAA Certified Repair Station
  • Technical knowledge of AMC Fleet aircraft, specifically BHT-407, AS350, EC-130, EC-135, and EC-145
  • Technical knowledge of all aircraft, appliances, and processes approved on the FAA Part 145 Operations Specification
  • Proficient with FARs and able to perform complex research of Federal Regulations
  • Demonstrated commitment to airworthiness and quality of aircraft parts approved for return to service
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented; ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A&P Certificate
  • IA Certificate preferred
  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Compliance with DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing regulations, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing
