About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take full responsibility for day-to-day operating, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of three generated-gases production facilities and future Gen Gas sites
  • Supervise air separation plant operations, maintenance, safety, environmental activities and record-keeping
  • Coordinate and manage associated support functions and personnel
  • Support day-to-day plant operations, solve process problems, supervise plant activities and drive plant projects
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, improve plant efficiency and manage plant projects
  • Respond to plant alarms and shutdowns through 24/7 on-call coverage
  • Identify maintenance concerns and develop and implement corrective/preventive measures within planned maintenance budgets
  • Collaborate with the North America Operating Service Center, asset manager, regional maintenance manager, technical support team, Santa Clara Site Manager and operations teams
  • Cover vacation and outage support with Santa Clara Operations and other area Gen Gas Supervisors
  • Perform and maintain site administrative responsibilities
  • Lead turnaround and shutdown planning and execution
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate inventory management with tactical planning and delivery logistics planning
  • Interface with customers, community representatives and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with Preventive Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certificate in process technology or maintenance field (preferred)
  • 2 years minimum in a manufacturing/production, processing or chemical/petrochemical environment
  • Strong operating experience in similar plants or operations of similar complexity
  • Experience with operation of gen gas and air separation fractional distillation processes is a plus but not a specific requirement as training will be provided
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintenance experience in an industrial plant a plus
  • Electrical and/or instrumentation experience a plus
  • Proven digital literacy
  • Strong instrumentation, electrical and/or mechanical proficiency is desired
  • Demonstrated dedication to safety and continuous improvement
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to work alone or as part of a team
