About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the health and expansion of hotel supply in Charleston and Myrtle Beach, SC
  • Manage hotels and optimize their setup using discounts, availability, and other levers
  • Enhance Airbnb’s market presence through collaboration with other teams and local-market expertise
  • Oversee hotel success on HotelTonight and Airbnb
  • Develop tiering and account-management strategies
  • Convert hotel leads and manage relationships with strategic partners and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and refine scalable, localized supply-management strategies
  • Build, manage, and expand hotel partner relationships to surpass quarterly sales targets
  • Conduct optimization calls and business reviews with partners, including in-person support as needed
  • Manage and optimize the long tail of thousands of hotels
  • Educate clients on product updates and relay product and public-policy feedback internally
  • Use data to identify strategic growth opportunities and allocate resources
  • Develop and implement territory engagement projects
  • Work cross-functionally with product, communications, public policy, legal, tax, and customer support teams
  • Monitor local market trends
  • Understand technical aspects of software partnerships and support hosts and guests
  • Represent Airbnb in external hotel meetings and industry conferences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience in new sales, account management, and partner support
  • 2+ years of tech/travel industry experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of effectively working a book of business
  • Proficient quantitative skills and ability to interpret and apply data
  • Ability to work at strategic and tactical levels and execute in ambiguous environments
  • Proven cross-functional work experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate with clients via phone, email, and in-person
  • Charismatic self-starter who is resourceful and self-sufficient
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Highly proficient in CRM software, specifically leads, opportunities, and other core objects
  • Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Based in Charleston or Myrtle Beach, SC
  • Must be willing to regularly travel to the assigned territory, typically once every 4 to 6 weeks
  • Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy
  • Being an Airbnb host is a plus
