About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with leaders across business operations, product, analytics, data science, and Strategic Finance to build and grow Airbnb’s Membership program
- Serve as the strategic finance and analytics lead for Membership
- Help leadership decide where to invest, size programs, and determine which growth levers to scale
- Become the subject matter expert on program economics, including guest and host behavior, costs, and returns
- Define and build financial and analytical foundations for early-stage programs
- Conduct analytical and financial deep dives to inform key decisions
- Build investment business cases, size opportunities, model returns, and frame tradeoffs
- Own performance measurement, including KPIs, goals, OKRs, reporting, and forecasting
- Support annual planning, long-range planning, and monthly or quarterly forecasts
- Develop and pressure-test program economics, including incentive and benefit costs, guest and host response, and incremental impact
- Synthesize complex data into executive-ready narratives and recommendations
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment on investment and operating decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of relevant finance and analytical experience across strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, strategy/management consulting, and/or business operations (ideally)
- Superb financial modeling skills
- Extensive quantitative and qualitative financial analysis experience, including business cases and ROI frameworks
- High proficiency in business analytics
- Ability to independently extract, analyze, and synthesize large datasets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- High ownership, strong judgment, and attention to detail
- AI proficiency or ability to become AI proficient using Claude or Gemini
- Experience with growth strategies, ROI evaluation, and scalability of marketplaces, loyalty, incentive, or growth programs is a plus
- Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
