About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner closely with business, product, and analytics leaders across Luxe, Monthly Stays, and Airbnb for Business
- Support investment decisions for Airbnb's fastest-growing emerging businesses
- Become the subject matter expert on the economics of the businesses, including demand and supply acquisition costs and returns
- Build business cases for major investment decisions, size opportunities, model returns, and frame tradeoffs
- Own end-to-end performance management for the incubation portfolio, including forecasting, goal and OKR setting, and executive reporting
- Build scalable reporting frameworks connecting early signals to revenue and long-term value
- Track and analyze full-funnel demand and supply performance
- Identify funnel leaks, their causes, and the value of fixing them
- Establish and pressure-test unit economics and assess scalability
- Assess capital allocation across incubation businesses and recommend reallocations
- Synthesize complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior leadership
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on high-impact investment and operating decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Relevant analytical experience in strategic finance, strategy/management consulting, investment banking, financial planning and analysis, business operations, or private equity is ideally preferred
- Advanced SQL proficiency with the ability to independently extract, analyze, and synthesize data
- Superb financial modeling skills
- Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate data into decisions
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- High ownership mindset with strong judgment and attention to detail
- Experience evaluating growth strategies, ROI/efficiency returns, and scalability of new business models is a big plus
- Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
