About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the API platform
  • Synthesize feedback and translate it into product features
  • Develop public- and developer-facing messaging and narrative for the API platform
  • Align product teams and cross-functional partners
  • Develop partnerships focused on supply and demand

  • Make prioritization decisions in users’ best interests
  • Execute efficiently to ship products and deliver business and user impact
  • Drive features through every launch and determine how they are communicated externally
  • Own products throughout their lifecycle, from concept to release
  • Work closely with engineering to build and deliver API platform and developer-tool improvements
  • Own product marketing for partner use of the API platform
  • Partner with account managers to scale adoption among existing and new partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience
  • 3+ years of product management experience designing and building developer platforms
  • Passion for improving developer productivity, product quality, and automating/optimizing developer workflows
  • Demonstrated empathy for developer pain points and leadership in building products for developers
  • Experience building strategic relationships with partner executives, senior management, and technical staff
  • Experience creating product messaging and delivering to customers and the media
  • Demonstrated inbound and subject matter expertise
  • Ability to build compelling customer-focused stories and work with marketing and communications partners
  • Demonstrated product leadership in a cross-functional environment
  • Entrepreneurial track record of taking an idea to reality and leading teams through a dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy and decisions
  • Ability to drive execution across teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoyment of individual contributor product management work and attention to detail
  • Strong ability and desire to travel frequently, including domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours as needed
  • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
