About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build features and frameworks that enhance the app experience for millions of guests and hosts
  • Develop end-to-end product features across guest and host experiences, from prototypes through production launch
  • Collaborate with Design, Product, Marketing, Data Science, and partner Engineering teams
  • Work on app navigation, announcement scheduling, host required-action frameworks, and other horizontal product concerns
  • Ship reliable, scalable, polished iOS experiences and enable feature teams to build and experiment faster
  • Ideate, prototype, develop, and ship product features and app-wide frameworks
  • Evaluate long-term technical design and architecture implications
  • Translate prototypes into high-quality, scalable, maintainable production code
  • Integrate features across product areas and optimize owned frameworks based on developer feedback
  • Troubleshoot and resolve iOS bugs, accessibility issues, and globalization issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of building production iOS applications at scale
  • Expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit
  • Deep understanding of client architecture and UI performance
  • Experience working with backend and Android/web platform engineers to integrate APIs and maintain cross-platform consistency
  • Ability to independently lead projects from start to finish
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills
  • Flexibility and resilience when scope, designs, and priorities change
  • Attention to detail and a high bar for polish, accessibility, and quality
  • Prior experience shipping user experiences with fluid interactions, motion, and graphics preferred
  • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
