About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build a comprehensive compliance program ensuring Airbnb meets requirements for frameworks such as PCI
- Address security posture-related questionnaires supporting ongoing compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with external and internal auditors on Test of Design and Test of Effectiveness processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational needs and deliver realistic, risk-based remediation recommendations
- Monitor remediation activities and build metrics and reports on testing and remediation results
- Establish new processes and refine existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Airbnb to strengthen security practices and protect community trust
- Translate technical solutions into compliance-ready outcomes while collaborating with auditors, regulators, business partners, and engineering teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Information Security Assurance, Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Deep understanding and working experience of regulatory frameworks including PCI DSS, SOX, DORA, and DFS 500
- Strong understanding of security foundations for responding to partner security posture questionnaires
- Experience developing and implementing security controls and InfoSec policies
- Experience using a risk-based approach to evaluate security weaknesses
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate security controls and business impacts across stakeholders
- Experience streamlining compliance processes, automating manual workflows, and managing audit readiness
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams, executive management, and external stakeholders
- Experience with AWS, GitHub, Asana, and Microservices preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related degree
- Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
