About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure systems underpinning Airbnb's Zero Trust ecosystem
Execute critical identity and endpoint security platforms
Work with open source products to build the next-generation client platform for Airbnb corporate endpoints
Build and support the Zero Trust backend suite, including security services, network paths, and user and device signaling
Support executive-level Airbnb staff with endpoint and identity solutions
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to optimize endpoints and identity flows for Airbnb employees and partners
Design new features and evolve platforms with security engineering teams
Contribute to the safety and trust of the Airbnb community

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's and/or Master/PhD's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in test driven software development
Extensive experience with Go, Python, or Java; Go strongly preferred
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with infrastructure as code deployments
Experience developing and deploying services in a Kubernetes environment
Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers
Motivation for personal growth and learning new technologies
Experience with microservices architecture
Familiarity with Apple MDM specification and implementation in modern MDM deployments
Understanding of authentication and authorization principles and technologies, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID, SAML, ABAC, and related Zero Trust security protocols
Must live where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
