About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, implement, and operate resilient and scalable distributed systems
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, operations, and data scientists to identify business-impact opportunities, refine and prioritize engineering requirements, drive engineering decisions, and quantify impact
  • Prototype, develop, productionize, and test solutions and defenses against existing and emerging fraud trends
  • Mentor other engineers in technical and collaboration skills
  • Advocate and participate in advancing Airbnb’s engineering processes and technical foundations
  • Build intuitive experiences, strengthen existing offerings, and deliver products that strengthen Airbnb’s Trust defenses
  • Develop flexible, efficient, and scalable solutions addressing evolving online and offline attack vectors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of industry experience
  • BE OR B.Tech in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong programming in Python / Java / C++ or equivalent
  • Data structures and algorithms skills
  • Data engineering skills
  • Experience building and scaling high-quality and high-traffic products or systems
  • Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions to solve real-world problems
  • Passion for AI with experience and strong grasp of current trends in Generative AI, LLMs, and related technologies
  • Experience with the Trust and Risk domain is a plus
