About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build web experiences and account features for millions of Airbnb guests and hosts
  • Own well-scoped features from technical design through launch
  • Design and build web features using React and TypeScript
  • Partner with product and design to create polished, accessible web experiences
  • Collaborate with backend, iOS, and Android engineers to maintain consistent feature behavior and data across platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of professional front-end/web engineering experience
  • Experience shipping features in a large-scale, production consumer web application
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React or a comparable modern framework
  • Knowledge of component-driven architecture, state management, and data-fetching patterns such as GraphQL
  • Experience integrating APIs with backend, iOS, and Android engineers
  • Track record of delivering features from technical design through launch and iteration
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity on a newly formed team
  • Understanding of web performance, WCAG accessibility, responsive design, and CI/deployment practices
  • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
