Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the strategic direction, development, and continuous advancement of the data strategy and AI portfolio in close collaboration with all business functions
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize data-driven business cases and AI use cases across the entire value chain
Implement modern data governance standards in collaboration with the Data Officer
Define and implement policies and processes for the consistent collection and maintenance of core business data
Design and establish a scalable, company-wide data architecture
Promote a “single source of truth” for critical business data
Implement the operational use of generative AI, machine learning, and agent-based workflows at TESAT
Manage and monitor the progress and budget development of AI initiatives
Evaluate the long-term impact and effectiveness of implemented business cases and AI systems
Define and implement policies for the ethical, transparent, and legally compliant use of AI

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed degree in business administration, science, or a related field
Practical experience implementing complex data science, machine learning, or AI projects
Experience with modern AI approaches (e.g., GenAI, LLMs, MLOps, and vector databases) and agile project management methodologies
Very good knowledge of processes and products in a high-tech company
Structured and analytical approach to solving new and complex tasks and challenges
Physical and mental resilience, assertiveness, and the ability to manage conflict, combined with excellent analytical skills, a hands-on mentality, and a professional demeanor
Enthusiasm for the challenges of the digital age, along with a visionary, goal-oriented, communicative, and execution-focused personality
Openness to change and continuous improvement
Business-fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity
