About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze software requirements
- Coordinate concepts, applications, and interfaces with external and internal customers
- Design and document software architectures for application software
- Coordinate and implement applications within an agile team
- Develop test strategies, and validate and test the applications created
- Document completed work in accordance with space industry requirements
- Design, develop, and integrate AI solutions for space systems, including predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, autonomous in-orbit decision-making, and ML-based signal processing
- Improve and automate development processes using AI tools, including CI/CD pipelines, code quality analysis, ML-based test automation, and data-driven development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science or a comparable field of study
- Understanding of software architectures and application design
- Knowledge of object-oriented software design and implementation, as well as the software lifecycle (requirements engineering, software development, and test strategies)
- Ideally, experience with communication and routing protocols (e.g., CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, IPv6, and SR-MPLS)
- Initial experience working on space development projects is an advantage
- High sense of responsibility and initiative, along with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent German and good written and spoken English
- Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity
