About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- New development and further development of the communication system for Laser Communication Terminals
- Design and specification of requirements and tests, as well as evaluation of the system and its subsystems
- Independently negotiate specifications, interfaces, documentation, and the verification approach with customers and suppliers
- Provide technical support for and select suppliers
- Support the sales team in acquiring new contracts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in aerospace engineering, physics, electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in systems engineering and requirements management, as well as experience leading development projects
- Technical knowledge of current laser communication products, along with interdisciplinary expertise in electrical engineering, optics, and mechanics
- Resilience, flexibility, communication skills, organizational ability, and analytical thinking
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, with strong negotiation proficiency
- Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity
