About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Source, screen, interview, and recommend candidates for Airbus roles from entry level through senior leadership, supporting Engineering departments
  • Develop and deploy advanced sourcing strategies, including cold calling and network development
  • Represent Airbus’s employment value proposition and published Airbus Values
  • Build applicant pools and establish trust-based partnerships with managers
  • Identify candidate fit through effective interviewing and testing
  • Administer interviewing and onboarding processes and ensure a positive new-hire experience
  • Develop and execute recruitment plans and strategies to meet hiring goals
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA, and other applicable regulations
  • Consult with leaders, hiring managers, and HR teams on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation, and sourcing strategies
  • Deliver high-quality candidate shortlists and close qualified candidates
  • Place and update job postings across internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards, and staffing partners
  • Promote Airbus referral programs and internal opportunities
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system, recruiting reports, and staffing administration
  • Respond to internal and external applicant situations and requests
  • Follow up with managers to assess recruiting effectiveness
  • Research and recommend sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Develop networks and partnerships to build candidate databases and pipelines and strengthen the Airbus brand
  • Partner with Business HR leaders to anticipate Talent Acquisition needs and create pipelines
  • Represent Airbus at recruiting events and college job fairs, provide company/job information, and interview applicants
  • Give presentations at colleges and attend student group meetings
  • Identify and support recruiting events and assist with event registration
  • Work outside normal business hours when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive talent acquisition, candidate sourcing, and interviewing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or combination of education and appropriate work experience
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs
  • Knowledge of US employment and labor laws and their application to recruitment and applicant tracking systems
  • Knowledge of the regional labor market
  • Knowledge of recruiting techniques and experience in online/social media recruiting
  • Experience and/or exposure in the assigned area of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate and effectively sell an organization’s value proposition
  • Excellent oral and written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Creativity in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Google Suite productivity tools proficiency
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other candidate sourcing tools
  • Able to work in the US without a current or future need for visa sponsorship
  • Able to travel independently and at short notice
  • Ability to meet stated physical requirements, including occasional carrying/lifting of up to 30 lbs/14 kg
  • French, German, or Spanish language skills preferred
