About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform activities related to regulatory and scientific affairs, providing support to business areas and contributing to the company’s strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze national and international regulations and regulatory discussions, assessing their impact on the business in Brazil and Latin America.
- Support internal communications regarding regulatory changes by sharing information, impact assessments, and technical input for decision-making.
- Support the preparation of regulatory dossiers and monitor the approval processes for substances and ingredients with government authorities.
- Represent the company in meetings with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and academic institutions.
- Monitor regulatory discussions and propose positions aligned with business interests.
- Assess the regulatory compliance of raw materials, packaging, and labels.
- Prepare labeling statements and support the preparation of documentation required for product registration and commercialization.
- Keep records up to date and assist in maintaining the department’s systems and processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Chemistry, Nutrition, Food Engineering, Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or another relevant field depending on experience.
- Previous experience is not required; an internship in regulatory affairs or other experience in an academic environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of health regulations for finished products, raw materials, and packaging materials for food, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics is desirable.
- Intermediate English.
- Basic Spanish.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools is desirable.
- Interest in reading and learning.
- Logical reasoning and critical thinking.
- Ability to understand aspects and concepts in their entirety.
- Focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle diverse and new topics.
