About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues
  • Independently and safely perform repairs and routine maintenance on production equipment
  • Follow maintenance procedures, GMPs, and safety requirements
  • Complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance by target date
  • Assist operators with operational duties or manual labor as needed
  • Determine and request parts needed for maintenance work
  • Clean and maintain plant areas
  • Complete daily maintenance checklists
  • Perform handyman jobs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and assembly
  • Maintain documentation of work orders and maintenance activities
  • Assist with maintenance inventory of supplies and parts
  • Learn new processes and maintenance activities for new equipment
  • Assist with installation and setup of new equipment
  • Collaborate with operators to ensure safety and quality during maintenance activities
  • Participate in equipment modifications and upgrades
  • Attend daily shift change meetings and provide updates in MS Teams
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, shop, and inventory areas
  • Assist contractors as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of forklifts and personnel lifts
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, rigging, and diagnostic equipment
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, mixers, plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, perform basic to intermediate mathematical calculations, follow written and verbal instructions, and use a computer
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Physically fit to conduct repair and preventive maintenance work
  • Must be able to access all areas of the plant and wear required PPE
