About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, mentor, and grow a large, multidisciplinary global team of managers, software engineers, and architects
- Drive the technical roadmap for the IAM platform
- Ensure the platform is highly scalable, resilient, and optimized for global, low-latency authorization
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle
- Ensure code meets high standards for quality, safety, and performance
- Partner with other teams to translate business vision into concrete technical milestones
- Steer the engineering strategy, architecture, and execution of Akamai's IAM platform
- Scale a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or its equivalent
- Extensive experience leading large, distributed software engineering teams
- Track record of delivering innovative software products
- Deep understanding of the IAM ecosystem
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record of aligning remote, global teams
