Key responsibilities & impact

Own core components of the monthly Network COGS close process
Prepare executive reporting packages used in Akamai's CFO Reviews
Analyze daily network traffic trends
Conduct variance, run-rate, and ROI analyses linking operational metrics with financial performance
Develop weekly COGS outlooks and burn-rate tracking
Support and enhance financial models for capital investments, server capacity expansion, and asset lifecycle initiatives
Collaborate with Sales Finance, Accounting, and Engineering Leadership to align traffic projections with revenue and cost assumptions
Implement reporting workflow improvements
Deliver specialized financial analyses supporting strategic business decisions
Bridge technical network operations and strategic corporate finance
Deliver actionable reporting and analyze key network performance drivers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
2-3+ years of hands-on experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or corporate finance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Practical experience in financial modeling, large data manipulation, and presentation building in PowerPoint
Strong analytical curiosity and problem-solving skills to connect complex technical network drivers with financial outcomes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent English
Confidence collaborating across virtual, cross-functional teams
Eagerness to learn about Akamai's cloud and edge architecture
