About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate the security of Akamai's distributed network and products
- Assess cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements
- Translate requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails
- Support compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework
- Work with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation
- Improve adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive experience assessing security in cloud systems, Internet technologies, infrastructure, applications, and data governance
- Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support
- Proven experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems
