About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with engineering teams to identify how to test proposed changes
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test pipelines, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
Create and maintain test plans and test cases for compute services, covering relevant scenarios and edge cases
Write and maintain scripts to automate deployments, migrations, and rollbacks
Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and provide solution recommendations
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff, promote best practices, and ensure quality standards
Develop automation for testing cloud microservices

Requirements

What you’ll need

12 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
Understanding of modern testing methodologies
Deep expertise in Python, Pytest, and best practices for testing microservices
Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, Github Actions, and SaltStack
Good Linux fundamentals, especially around performance tuning
Bash and scripting fundamentals
Experience with containerization, such as Docker
Good network fundamentals: HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.
