About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide customer consultation through calls with a Security Consultant to identify challenges and recommend customized solutions using Akamai's portfolio
Prepare security assessments of existing customer setups and suggest actionable security improvements
Design, deploy, and verify security configurations
Clarify testing processes on the Akamai staging network for customers as required
Provide daily assistance to long-term customers
Keep customer setups optimized and aligned with current security best practices
Engage daily with external customers in Italy
Collaborate with the 12-member Services Team and 25-person Italian team
Occasionally support other EMEA accounts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Comprehensive expertise in cybersecurity concepts, network security, and Content Delivery Network principles (mandatory)
Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic customer setting
Ability to collaborate effectively, support teammates, and share knowledge
Proven ability to identify blockers and opportunities and design and execute efficient solutions
Fluency in English
Italian language skills optional but appreciated
Ability to support the EMEA market, focusing on Italy
Extensive technical expertise for customer-facing security architecture work
