About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available cloud and data architectures
Evaluate cloud technologies for new platform capabilities and services
Serve as a subject matter expert for PostgreSQL and Oracle database architectures
Design highly available, replicated, clustered, and geographically distributed database architectures
Build prototypes, proof of concepts, and reference implementations to validate scalability and security
Convert successful prototypes into repeatable architecture patterns and production-ready designs
Balance system design, engineer coaching, requirements clarification, and execution
Ensure alignment with product and SRE partners
Provide technical direction and perform hands-on development

Requirements

What you’ll need

12 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, another related field, or equivalent
Expertise in developing reusable infrastructure using Terraform modules, templates, and deployment patterns
Ability to develop scripts and automation using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and MongoDB
Hands-on experience with Redis and Valkey
Understanding of distributed data systems designed for horizontal scalability and high availability
