About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Qualify and validate server hardware platforms and components
Evaluate pre-production hardware and server architectures
Drive complex hardware and system-level investigations to resolution independently
Create and improve validation plans, test methodologies, tools, and technical documentation
Improve and modify internal system-level testing frameworks
Develop and maintain Python/Bash-based tools for hardware validation, diagnostics, and automation
Collaborate with OEMs, ODMs, vendors, and internal engineering teams
Provide technical input into platform and component selection
Develop, validate, manage lifecycles, and document Akamai's Server Hardware Platforms
Evaluate pre-release hardware and provide input on future product designs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive knowledge of computer architecture and server hardware
Extensive hands-on experience with hardware debugging, validation, and system integration
Expertise in Linux for engineering, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
Understanding of hardware, firmware, BIOS/UEFI, and operating system interactions
Over three years of programming experience in Python
Passion for computers and electronics, with curiosity and willingness to challenge existing approaches
Open to hybrid work, three days on-site per week, in Cracow
Ability to lift 18 kg independently
