About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define test strategies and design detailed test plans for next-generation routing platforms
Design, develop, and execute functional tests for routing services, emphasizing BGP, FRRouting, and GoBGP
Validate EVPN, BGP Route Reflection, and IP routing and switching technologies
Create and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks using Python and Pytest
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
Conduct performance, stress, and scalability testing using Spirent TestCenter or comparable traffic-generation solutions
Resolve complex networking problems, analyze routing convergence, and identify root causes of system-wide malfunctions
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and mentor junior engineers
Improve resilience, scalability, performance, reliability, and functionality of routing infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in Network Validation, QA Automation, or Systems Testing
Practical knowledge in computer science, engineering, or related fields
Expertise in L2/L3 networking concepts, including TCP/IP and IPv4/IPv6
Experience configuring, debugging, and testing routing stacks such as FRR
Expertise in BGP protocols, attributes, state machines, and scaling techniques
Advanced Python proficiency for automation using Pytest and libraries
Experience with high-scale traffic generation tools such as Spirent, Keysight/Ixia, Cisco TRex, or Xena Networks
Experience using Docker to containerize routing daemons, manage multi-container network topologies, and create virtualized network test environments
