About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with development teams to support quality practices
Build manual and automated integration and system tests
Ensure quality of APIs and other services offered on Akamai Cloud
Ensure the cloud platform is resilient, secure, and scalable
Review product designs, architecture, and specifications
Develop comprehensive test plans and execute functional, load, and performance tests
Contribute continuously to test automation infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
Write automated tests and review peer automation pull requests
Partner with globally distributed developers, SDET engineers, architects, and program managers
Contribute to release readiness decisions and deployment schedules

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies
More than 6 years of experience developing Python-based automation frameworks and testing REST/Open APIs
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments and core networking concepts (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP)
Proficiency with Git, Jira, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and basic MySQL database querying/schema design
Experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, managing, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized applications
