About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop the deployment stack for building new test datacenters on the Lab Platform
Design monitoring solutions using new and existing observability tooling to ensure the health of Lab Services
Identify bottlenecks in deployment and configuration frameworks
Propose solutions that improve performance and reliability
Collaborate with development and site reliability teams on mission-critical lab infrastructure services and environments
Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and experts to develop solutions
Contribute to scaling infrastructure and management tools
Drive development and testing improvements across the organization
Work on a highly collaborative global team

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 to 8 years of experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, and CrossPlane
Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible, SaltStack, or Puppet
Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management
Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Nomad
Experience with development-environment tooling such as Kind, Docker Compose, and Tilt
Understanding of core Linux concepts and networking
Command-line skills
Ability to build and configure Jenkins with GitHub
Experience using Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring, visualization, metrics, and system alerting
Background using Python and RESTful API frameworks, including Flask and Django
Ability to use AI tooling for troubleshooting
Comfortable working with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres
