About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gather requirements, design, implement, and maintain build and infrastructure tools used by development and test teams
Create new features and build tools from conception through release
Design and develop highly scalable software running on Akamai infrastructure
Develop frontend and backend software for vulnerability management to enhance engineering productivity
Design, maintain, and scale multi-platform build systems
Optimize build performance, parallelism, and dependency management across target architectures
Partner with internal cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions
Drive feature development and optimization
Contribute to ongoing product and process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 or more years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Object-oriented programming skills in Python, Java, Go, or C/C++
Experience with multi-platform build systems such as CMake, Bazel, Cargo, or Meson
Experience with GCC/Clang compiler and toolchain configuration
Experience with multi-architecture compilation across AArch64/ARMv8/ARMv9 and Intel/AMD platforms
Hands-on experience with service-oriented architecture, REST, microservices, databases, and SQL
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Cloudbees CI/Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
Understanding of security, compliance, and SLA
Eagerness to learn new technologies
