About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build cloud platform functionality that sets up, manages, and protects networking in the Akamai Connected Cloud
Work on and extend the local Linux container network development environment
Design, implement, review, document, and test high-quality code
Collaborate closely with the team on software development
Work with local peers and coordinate with global teams on new features and user-reported bugs
Design and implement networking products such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Firewall, and VLAN

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Go
Solid skills in writing, testing, and understanding complex computer software
Experience in technical design, product specification reviews, project and backlog planning
Ability to work productively with team members to identify and resolve issues collaboratively
Passion for getting things done quickly and correctly
