About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead initiatives across the enterprise from concept to market
- Align product, software engineering, site reliability, and architecture teams
- Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Lead cross-functional teams supporting the product/technology roadmap
- Manage programs including planning, schedule management, and monitoring investment levels
- Participate in and enhance product development
- Oversee software lifecycles and coordinate cross-functional efforts to meet timelines and budgets
- Communicate program status and updates to senior leadership
- Provide guidance and informal mentoring for team members
- Coordinate technical and business stakeholders for enterprise-level data center software infrastructure deployments
- Advance Software Infrastructure Services and improve the reliability and scalability of Akamai’s Cloud platform
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant experience in program/project management
- Significant experience in Agile processes and methodologies
- Ability to inspire people at all levels of the organization without authority
- Ability in change management and transformation processes
- Deep domain expertise in core cloud computing concepts, distributed systems, and scalable cloud infrastructure architecture
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
