About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform real-world, end-to-end testing to qualify releases
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and support teams
Build automation frameworks supporting end-to-end test cases
Develop and design tools to test and benchmark distributed systems
Become an expert user of internal highly distributed systems
Maintain test environments
Create workflows and tools to automate testing and benchmarking
Ensure code releases are resilient, scalable, and optimally performing on Akamai's cloud and edge infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

An engineering background or equivalent education in computer science or a related field
Relevant hands-on experience working with test automation frameworks such as Pytest, Robot Framework, or similar
Experience operating within Linux/Unix environments
Moderate to advanced proficiency in Python
Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, testing frameworks, TCP/IP, and HTTP
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Experience with AI-driven tools for test creation, debugging, or automation, and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is nice to have
