About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, design, and implement high-availability systems software
- Bring new functionality to services focused on automation, observability, and identity management
- Support the full product life cycle from ideation through implementation and operation
- Improve software systems for testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Evaluate emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation
- Design, develop, and maintain high-reliability distributed systems with web and console interfaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and other developers
- Deliver high-quality software solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, or related field
- At least 2 years experience with programming in Python, Go and/or shell script
- At least 4 years development experience on Linux/Unix platforms
- Knowledge of common internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and/or TLS/SSL
- Experience with git/Stash and Perforce version control systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good team player
