About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsibility for the accounting of multiple entities
- Ensuring reliable day-to-day accounting operations
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and VAT returns
- Preparation of annual financial statements in collaboration with tax advisors
- Responsibility for accounts receivable management
- Leadership and professional development of the two-person Accounting team
- Further development of accounting processes through digitalization and automation
- Further development of finance tools, digital workflows, and interfaces
- Collaboration with management, tax advisors, and relevant internal departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of relevant professional experience in accounting
- Experience with monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, VAT, and preparation of annual financial statements
- Ideally, qualification as a certified accountant, tax specialist, or equivalent (optional)
- Proficiency in DATEV
- Experience with DATEV Unternehmen online is a plus
- Initial leadership experience is advantageous but not required
- Willingness to take responsibility for a team
- Interest in digitalization and automation
- Very good written and spoken German
- Ability to work regularly in person on-site
