About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsibility for accounting across multiple companies
Ensuring accurate and efficient day-to-day accounting operations
Responsibility for monthly closings and VAT returns
Preparing annual financial statements in collaboration with tax advisors
Responsibility for accounts receivable and collections management
Leading and developing a two-person accounting team
Continuously improving accounting processes
Leveraging digitalization and automation to optimize workflows
Further developing finance tools, digital workflows, and interfaces
Working closely with the executive management team
Serving as the point of contact for tax advisors and relevant internal departments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of relevant professional experience in accounting
Experience with monthly closings, account reconciliations, VAT, and preparing annual financial statements
Ideally, a certified accountant, tax specialist, or equivalent qualification (optional)
Proficiency in DATEV
Experience with DATEV Unternehmen online is a plus
Initial leadership experience is advantageous but not required
Willingness to take responsibility for a team
Interest in digitalization and automation
Excellent written and spoken German
Ability to work regularly with the team on-site in Duisburg
