About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform high-quality CT studies while ensuring patient safety
  • Pre-screen patients for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections
  • Use aseptic injection techniques
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists
  • Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators
  • Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, monitors, PACS, and other peripheral equipment
  • Work as a PRN CT Technologist at Tampa-area facilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT
  • NMTCB certification in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry where allowable by state
  • State license; licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable
  • CPR certification
  • Active State Driver’s License for technologists performing mid-day moves
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
  • COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Ability to perform patient safety screening for radiation and contrast contraindications
  • Aseptic injection technique
  • CT imaging and diagnostic image production
  • Troubleshooting scanners, coaches, monitors, PACS, and peripheral equipment
