About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce cross-sectional MRI images for diagnostic interpretation
- Perform MRI procedures by acquiring and analyzing diagnostic data
- Independently perform or assist licensed practitioners with magnetic resonance imaging procedures
- Prepare, administer, and document contrast administration in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policy
- Perform patient pre-screening for contraindications and verify orders
- Manage MRI zones to ensure patient, colleague, and visitor safety
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images according to company protocols and RadSite/IAC/ACR guidelines
- Operate multiple MR systems and power injection equipment as required
- Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, peers, healthcare staff, and patient families
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
- Ensure timely image transmission through EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems
- Train and orient new technologists and MR Technologist Assistants
- Perform other duties assigned by leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
- ARRT(MR) and State License, if applicable
- ACLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work at several locations, as needed
- Strong customer service skills
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
- Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience preferred
- 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience preferred
- Knowledge and ability to demonstrate competency of differing MR equipment and power injection equipment
- Ability to independently perform or assist with MRI procedures
- Competency in contrast safety and administration, including starting and discontinuing peripheral IVs using aseptic injection technique
- Proficiency with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements
- Ability to complete annual and ongoing education and site-specific competencies/in-services
