About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Pre-screen patients for contraindications and ensure patient safety
  • Use aseptic injection techniques and follow radiation safety/regulations
  • Properly document techniques when working with radioactive materials/patients
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images
  • Communicate effectively with customers and/or radiologists
  • Train new technologists and/or PC's
  • Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment, including monitors, PACS, and coils
  • Interpret physician orders/instructions and select appropriate software options and imaging parameters
  • Work in freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, and hospital-based/inpatient facilities
  • Provide patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N)
  • State license, as required
  • CPR certification
  • As applicable, valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to work at several locations
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Preferred: 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies
