Key responsibilities & impact

Learn and perform daily operational activities, including settling money market or listed securities
Process corporate action events and reconcile investment activities
Recommend improvements to the effectiveness and efficiency of current processes
Review external websites used by the team and help extract relevant data into reports
Use Excel to analyze data, identify anomalies and trends, and report results
Review and document previously undocumented processes
Assist with daily settlement activities and reconciliation of internal systems to external bank balances
Identify opportunities to improve team effectiveness and implement change
Learn and perform all day-to-day functions of the Public Market Operations team

What you’ll need

Completion of second- or third-year undergraduate studies in Business, Math, or Computer Science
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to function with a high degree of autonomy and seek guidance when production issues arise
Ability to resolve issues under strict timelines
Root cause analysis, detail-oriented problem-solving, and research skills
Ability to identify inconsistencies and data breaks
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle high volumes while maintaining efficiency and complying with stated controls
Independent learner able to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment
Final candidates must undergo acceptable security screening, including a credit bureau and criminal record investigation
