About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead portfolio risk analysis and ongoing monitoring activities for fixed income products
  • Provide insight into risk profiles and support risk-informed decision-making
  • Partner with investment and risk teams to enhance risk reporting, strategic insight, and risk modeling capabilities
  • Support the Senior Director, Fixed Income Investment Risk
  • Foster transparency, learning, collaboration, and risk awareness
  • Develop understanding of AIMCo's risk management framework, processes, and investment approach
  • Build relationships across risk and investment functions
  • Contribute to risk monitoring, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or another quantitative/STEM discipline
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in investment management, risk management, financial analysis, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of fixed income markets, instruments, investment strategies, and factor modeling
  • Advanced Excel modeling capabilities
  • Programming experience
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to evaluate complex information and communicate findings clearly and effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough attention to detail and ability to maintain perspective on broader organizational and client objectives
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage competing deadlines, and contribute effectively within a team environment
  • Alignment with AIMCo's core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity, and collaboration
  • Final candidates must pass acceptable security screening, including a credit bureau and criminal record investigation
