About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with agile Application Delivery teams to implement projects and change initiatives
- Participate in implementation projects by configuring, documenting, and presenting accounting functionality throughout the project life cycle
- Prepare project artifacts and assist in documenting business processes and test regression suites
- Utilize business analysis tools and techniques to support enterprise-wide initiatives
- Identify workflow issues and implement innovative solutions
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with subject matter experts
- Create and validate system specifications that meet business requirements
- Support Front Office initiatives involving portfolio management, trading, compliance, and investment operations
- Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and operational risk reduction
- Build data pipelines to improve collaboration and transparency through knowledge transfer and effective communication
- Leverage modern data development tools
- Develop problem-solving skills and attempt to resolve issues independently before seeking guidance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in undergraduate studies in Business or Quantitative programs (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- Returning to studies immediately following the work term or completing final work experience terms
- Ability to gather business requirements by liaising with subject matter experts, including knowledge of investment operations
- Experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban processes
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Mural, and Confluence
- Proficiency with programming languages and/or database technologies such as Python, SQL, XML, XSLT, MS SQL Server, Oracle, C#, JQuery, CSS, and HTML is desirable
- Coursework or project experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related fields
- Keen interest in financial markets and strong understanding of financial concepts, practices, and tools
- Foundational understanding of capital markets products and investment management concepts
- Exposure to OTC derivatives, fixed income, and private market investments
- Exceptional research and problem-solving abilities

- Final candidates must undergo an acceptable security screening, including a credit bureau and criminal record investigation
