About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design and development of complex HVAC/industrial control systems.
Develop PLC logic design and programming based on control narratives, sequences of operation, and project requirements.
Design HMI/SCADA system architecture, graphics, and standards.
Create and review detailed electrical control schematics and panel designs.
Prepare design documentation including I/O lists, network architectures, control narratives, and bills of materials.
Support field activities such as commissioning, functional testing, and design validation.
Integrate systems using serial and Ethernet-based industrial communication protocols.
Lead and/or support Factory Acceptance Testing and design reviews.
Support proposal development by reviewing plans, specifications, and scope documents.
Present technical designs and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
Prepare technical reports and design deliverables.
Travel approximately 30% nationally to client sites, regional offices, and project locations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of PLC/PAC logic design and programming experience using IEC-61131 languages.
7+ years of HMI/SCADA system design experience, including multi-node or distributed architectures.
5+ years of electrical design experience related to control panels and industrial automation systems.
Demonstrated experience with industrial communication protocols including Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and serial equivalents.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Rockwell Automation Certified Programmer or equivalent RA technical certifications are preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Siemens or Schneider Electric automation certifications are preferred, or willingness to obtain.
ISA certifications such as ISA CAP (Certified Automation Professional) are preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Ignition (Inductive Automation) Core or Gold Certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain.
UL 508A Industrial Control Panel certification familiarity (designer-level knowledge) is preferred, or willingness to obtain.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Successful completion of applicable pre-employment screenings, which may include a background check and drug screening.
Positions where driving is an essential function require a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
