About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with business leadership and an Agile development team to lead design and architecture for an enterprise application within the Alegeus product line
  • Demonstrate understanding of the Alegeus platform and technologies
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver high-quality, secure, scalable software and solve complex business problems
  • Drive continuous improvement of productivity, quality, processes, and group dynamics
  • Help team members and other teams grow professionally
  • Participate in the production on-call rotation, researching and responding to off-hours escalations within 2–3 hours after the initial six-month period
  • Develop program logic and analyze or modify existing application logic
  • Code, test, debug, document, implement, maintain, test, and integrate software applications and components
  • Analyze features and user stories and translate business requirements into product designs
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and tools
  • Estimate coding tasks with teams and monitor progress
  • Write technical specifications and other documentation
  • Enforce software development policies, procedures, secure coding practices, and coding conventions
  • Mentor others to improve team efficiency
  • Occasionally work outside usual business hours to support releases without impeding service access

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline is required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in software development
  • Fluency and deep understanding of web application development, C#, RESTful Services, MS SQL Server/T-SQL, Pub/Sub, .NET Core and object-oriented design concepts
  • Expertise in T-SQL and SQL Server tuning methodologies
  • Experience working in Agile teams
  • Desired experience in .NET 8+, LINQ, Dapper, and database performance optimization
  • Desired experience implementing software solutions for a real-time production finance transaction processing system
  • Ability to act independently to resolve issues
  • Ability to manage an application through the entire development life cycle and manage time effectively
  • Effective verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
