About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and lead innovative Data & AI projects in the automotive industry
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Identify data-driven optimization opportunities at OEMs and suppliers
Develop tailored Data & AI solutions
Design and implement use cases in production, quality management, supply chain, and connected vehicles
Conduct data analyses and select technologies, as well as develop and deploy solutions in production environments
Develop scalable data and AI solutions
Support integration into existing system landscapes and help drive operationalization
Develop customer accounts and drive business development activities
Provide strategic and technical consulting to automotive customers
Manage relevant stakeholders and ensure professional expectation management
Plan and manage projects and subprojects, including roadmaps, budgets, and resources
Conduct workshops and steering committee meetings, including follow-up activities
Provide professional leadership to project teams
Promote knowledge transfer and actively contribute to the advancement of the automotive industry

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in the automotive industry, ideally with OEMs, suppliers, or specialized service providers
In-depth understanding of industry-specific business processes and challenges
Several years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or Data Science
Proficiency in relevant methods and technologies, including Python, SQL, Machine Learning, NLP, LLM/GenAI, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT, Spark, and CI/CD
Experience developing data-driven solutions and successfully implementing Data & AI use cases across the automotive value chain
Relevant experience in business development, including identifying business opportunities, pitch performance, proposal development, and responding to tenders
Experience independently leading projects or subprojects and managing budgets and resources
Familiarity with agile project management methods such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe; relevant certifications are an advantage
Professional engagement with stakeholders at all levels and a demonstrable track record of account development based on relevant KPIs
Independent, structured, and results-oriented approach to work
Strong analytical skills, initiative, and customer orientation
Excellent communication skills in German and English
Very strong presentation and facilitation skills
Willingness to travel as part of consulting engagements
