About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join Alfred H Knight’s Operational Data Strategy team at the global head office in Prescot, Liverpool
- Build high-quality Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and robust data models
- Develop DAX measures and repeatable Power Query ETL transformations
- Clean, transform, and validate complex datasets from multiple enterprise systems
- Manipulate data, create pivot tables, and reconcile data discrepancies using Excel
- Translate complex operational, commercial, and financial metrics into clear visual stories and actionable insights
- Work closely with a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst and cross-functional business teams
- Support strategic decision-making by empowering global leaders with business intelligence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong, demonstrable hands-on capability in Power BI, including building interactive dashboards, custom reports, and data visualisations
- Solid experience developing data models, writing DAX measures, and creating repeatable ETL transformations using Power Query
- Proven ability to clean, transform, and validate complex datasets sourced from multiple enterprise systems such as CRM, LIMS, Finance, or ERP
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, pivot tables, and independent reconciliation of data discrepancies
- Ability to interpret complex operational data and translate it into concise, decision-useful insights for non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail with a curious, analytical, and problem-solving mindset
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with confidence engaging across cross-functional business teams
- Comfortable working independently under guidance within a dynamic digital transformation environment
- Passion for continuing to learn, adapt, and progress technical capabilities over time
- Practical experience operating in a dedicated Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or BI role
- Practical proficiency with SQL is advantageous
- Exposure to Power Automate, Power Apps, or KPI reporting frameworks is preferred
- Experience within TIC, laboratory, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience
