About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and enhance application features using React Native and TypeScript for Android and iOS
  • Participate in defining and evolving the mobile architecture, including module organization, componentization, state management, and caching and remote data strategies
  • Contribute to the technical modernization of the application, including updating versions and dependencies, migrating deprecated libraries, and advancing the adoption of TypeScript
  • Integrate the application with REST APIs, handling authentication, sessions, errors, retries, and unstable connectivity scenarios
  • Implement and maintain third-party integrations, such as push notifications, deep links, analytics, engagement, and session monitoring
  • Ensure application performance, stability, and security by tracking crash, startup time, rendering, and resource consumption metrics
  • Work with native modules and configurations, such as Gradle, Xcode, and CocoaPods, when necessary
  • Participate in the app store release cycle, including builds, signing, versioning, phased rollouts, and post-release monitoring
  • Troubleshoot production incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and the definition of preventive actions
  • Conduct code reviews and help promote mobile development best practices
  • Provide technical support to developers with varying levels of experience
  • Assess the impact and regression risk of changes
  • Clearly communicate technical risks, impacts, and trade-offs to product, business, leadership, and other stakeholders
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with React Native in mobile applications
  • Strong command of TypeScript and the React ecosystem, including hooks, the rendering lifecycle, and re-render optimization
  • Experience with state management and remote data, using Redux, Zustand, React Query/TanStack Query, or similar tools
  • Experience with mobile navigation using React Navigation or an equivalent solution
  • Knowledge of REST API integrations, token-based authentication, and error handling
  • Experience publishing and managing applications on Google Play and/or the App Store
  • Experience with automated testing in mobile environments, including unit and component testing
  • Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and work in multidisciplinary squads
  • Ability to analyze impacts, flag risks, and explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Professional experience developing, enhancing, or maintaining mobile applications using React Native
  • Completed or ongoing higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Analysis and Development, or related fields
  • Technical English for reading documentation, troubleshooting, and researching solutions
  • Courses or certifications related to React Native, TypeScript, Android and iOS mobile development, software engineering, architecture, automated testing, Agile methodologies, or cloud technologies will be considered a plus
